Where Everyone Goes

Grass swaying in the wind in Woodbine Park, Toronto

Where everyone goes does not appeal to me. I don’t tend to follow the crowd.

I find it fascinating how I can recount many parts of my life in a manner that make them seem very mainstream, as if I have followed everybody and I am no different than the average person. Yet, my path does not follow the mainstream.

It’s true that I don’t always take the most direct way to where I am heading, but my meanderings enrich my life and fuel my journey.

Where everyone goes, the grass never grows.

I love this one, too, Stefan. A nice serene feeling. And, with your permission, would like to pass on your last quote.

Thanks Helene – I believe it is an old German proverb – It is not my original quote. Do share it.

Some really nice and calming shots today. They look wonderful. I like the one where there is a strong transition in colors from the plants to the green of the grass.

Being alone is the best time to hear and get to know who we really are and what we feel. Since no one is around, there isn’t a need to hide or fake any emotion. We can just be quiet and be.

I’ve been alone a major portion of my life and it is comforting to be with someone (myself) that always accepts me just the way I am.
