I Kid You Not

A long time ago, when I lived in the downtown of the largest city of this country, I heard the funniest dog names.

Of course, it was made funnier by the spectacle that accompanied my hearing them.

During a peaceful late night walk with my dog, I briefly sat on a bench in a nearby park to enjoy the warm summer breeze at that late hour. A short distance away, I saw a lady in high heels and a glittery dress walk her two small white dogs. The dogs were cute, I will admit.

Then, I realized that they were both wearing collars with little lights that flashed. I thought I even saw my own dog roll his eyes.

And the lady, prancing in her high heels, said: “Come on – Pinky and Parsley – let’s go!”

The lighted collars amuse me greatly. I have a feeling my dog, Mikey would be horrified if I got him one! It’s the walking of dogs in high heels that makes me shake my head… But then again, I have a 35lb dog that would pull me right out of my heels if I even thought about wearing them when we go walking! How do women wear heels and walk the dog??
