The River and the Willow

Willow in Ashbridge's Bay Park, Toronto 2011-05-05

There was a river near the house where I grew up.

I used to go there quite often, especially when I needed a place to escape to.

I like rivers. But the willows by the river were what really captivated my attention.

I find willows to be mesmerizing. They branch out like no other trees I know.

Sometimes I wish I were a willow.

Really like your soothing words and combined photos. I am really bonding with the rivers in my area and have always loved trees of all kinds, so I’m interested in the experiences of others. Great work. Looking forward to the next…

I love willows too, Carlos. They weep with dignity wherever I go up and down Ohio theses days and I never feel alone in their presence.

When I was a child my cousin and I had our secret hiding place under the wispy branches of a willow. Thanks for the memories!

Quel bel arbre , le saule. Ses branches ont l’air de vouloir toucher l’eau . Les pieds ont besoin de l’humidité du sol , La ramure semble fléchir au soleil . L’arbre de la nostalgie ………
