I still hear my mother’s voice telling me to look ahead when I walk and not at the clouds. As a young boy I always had my head in the clouds; I am a dreamer by nature. I used to sit under a weeping willow at a nearby river and cloud-watch as long as I could.

Construction sites do not offer conventional beauty. But, when carefully framed and taken from certain angles, construction zones can occasionally make your gaze linger for a few seconds.

Channel in the Harbour
Industrial settings may provide a certain photographic appeal. The ship channel carved into the Port Lands proposed a few subjects for images: a large vessel called the Canadian Miner, tall blanketed piles on one side of the channel, and a bascule bridge crossing the channel.
