Whose Calendar Is That?

DSC_4806 - Version 2

As I was putting things away, I realized that I have a few calendars around the house – and when I say “a few” I mean more than I need.

For some reason, most of these calendars were given to me by my elderly neighbors across the street.

You could say that through these calendars, my neighbors were giving me the gift of time. It makes it even more touching knowing that they are the ones who need more time.

The good thing about all of this is that I can actually give them some of my time – and I do. I take their recycle and garbage out, I help them carry their groceries to the house, and I do little chores for them.

You see, these neighbors are at a point in life when they have become fragile and that makes me sad. But they seem to be accepting of it.

The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.

Belle histoire sur le temps qui passe, nous avons chacun une aventure à vivre avec les anciens , nous prendrons la suite un jour et dans la glace nous verrons quelqu’un d’autre , les traces du passé , la transmission . Beau récit sur ces calendriers. Merci Carlos.
