Preciousness from South America

Gorgeous Chilean wool 2012-12-18

Before Carlos left to go to South America, I hesitated to ask him a favour… but I am very glad I ended up having the courage to ask him.

If I am to be honest, I didn’t actually ask. I babbled: “If you happen to walk by a yarn store over there, and if you have a moment, and if it’s not too much to ask… Would you please have a quick peek?”

He said: “sure.”

One of my dream has been to get a skein or two of genuine yarn from South America. Working with such yarn would be so special and meaningful.

Let me tell you that he came back with more than a suitcase full of yarn. And I mean, gorgeous, special, precious yarn.

Thank you Kimberly. The wool was mostly from sheep but I also got some cottons and other fibres.
