Sticky Sap

Tree and sky along Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive, Toronto

I was remembering how I use to climb trees when I was a kid.

I may not have been particularly good at it and I may not have reached the top. Yet, I did climb up several branches getting high enough to give me a new perspective.

It didn’t bother me when I got sap on my hands. It never hurt too much when I scraped my knee climbing in full concentration. It felt good to climb trees.

Thinking about it, I realize that life is a little like climbing trees. You may get dirty – you may get hurt – but concentrating on the task at hand and taking it one step at a time will get you to other branches giving you new perspectives.

Great analogy with very distinctive photos. Nice! I love looking at trees and takes hundreds of photos just standing under trees and shooting up.
