Flowers of Chile

2010-12-13

By Carlos.

I was introduce to gardening at a very early age. In fact, watering the garden was one of my daily chores during spring and summer time in Chile.

It was during these formative years that I developed my passion for gardening.

Gardening taught me patience and gave me a place to get away without leaving the property. It was “me” time.

Funny, not sure if all these shots came from Chili – Wonderful shots BTW – but they are all plants I see growing wild in my “backyard”! Most of these plants belong to coastal sage-brush communities. Very important for lots of wildlife, especially some butterflies.

The water is sooooooooooo blue and beautiful. I love flowers and find gardens to be very peaceful and places to go in order to reflect and get away from everything.
